How to Use Your PC to Move Audio Files Into iPhone / iPad

If you are a jogger/runner who needs to take their music on the go, or perhaps a musician or singer who needs to practice or learn their material by using their iPhone or iPad as a tool for playback. This article is for you.

or...

Maybe you're just someone who has a need to download music to their PC, but has no clue on where to start, you too have come to the right place.

What you will need...

1). A PC running Windows... (though the process is very similar on a MAC)
2). An installed verion of iTunes running on your PC.
3). An IOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad.
4). The sync cable that came with your IOS device. It is the same cable you use to power it.
One end will be connected to your device and the other end into the USB port of your PC).

Three are only three steps you will need to accomplish your goal.

One: Download the music to your PC
Two: Import the music into iTunes
Three: Use iTunes to sync the music into your iPhone or iPad.

Now for the details...

Step One:
Download the music to your PC.

I find there are far too many people who download content to their computer; yet when done, they have no idea where on the PC it is located. With that said, before attempting to download anything... know the location where you are going to download. If you are new to downloading, for now I would suggest your desktop. This will make it easier for you to find your file(s) it later.
If you are a bit more experienced at downloading, you can create or use a pre-existing folder that you'll know how to navigate to after the download.

Initiate your download.

Audio files come in different formats, and iTunes can use several of them (be sure though not to attempt to use .wmv Windows Media Files though... they won't work).

Save to a known location.

Step Two:

Open iTunes

For the first time click
Edit > Preferences > Advanced
Make sure "Copy Files to iTunes Media Folder" is checked.
Once you have completed all of these steps, you will be able to go to your download location and delete the original copy of the

a). While still in iTunes click...

File > New Playlist and give your new playlist a name such as "Jogging", "Workout" etc.
Playlists are ways to groups song by catagory (ex: All my running songs in one playlist folder, or songs I have to learn into another).

b). Click File > Add File to Library

c). Find the file in your iTunnes Music Library (via sorting or search)

d). Drag the file into your new Playlist (Note: this will not create a another copy of the song in iTunes).

Final Step
: Use iTunes to copy the music from your iTunes playlist into your iPad / iPhone.
Connect your device with the sync cable and find it within iTunes on the left in the list.
Click it once to select the device.

In the right pane click "Music", then Playlist.
It is here that you can select which playlists (and other songs) that will snyc to your iPhone / iPad.

Click the SYNC button in the bottom right hand corner.

Once done, the song will be available on your iPhone / iPad.

"This content requires HDCP for playback" Apple TV fix

Perhaps you are having issues viewing Netflix, iTunes or any other streaming content via your Apple TV device? First, the short answer regarding the fix (in most cases)... 1). Leave your Apple TV device ON. 2). Turn OFF your TV for 10 seconds. 3). Turn ON your TV. 4). Now attempt to view the content on your Apple TV (hopefully without error). Behind the answer... Depending on the content being streamed, there is an authentication process that takes place when you request content. The user is usually oblivious of the this, that is until something goes wrong. HDCP stands for (H)igh bandwidth (D)igital (C)ontent (P)rotection. Even if you are only mildly interested in the 'what' of HDCP, I highly recommend checking out this simple yet concise and exhaustive explanation on Wikipedia, which can be found here... How to Get Free Internet - Home and MiFi

First I'll discuss an option which I currently use, then I'll list some of the uses I have gotten from the service... Free reliable national Internet service is offered by the company FreedomPop You pay for the device, then are allotted 500MB of bandwidth per month at no cost. FreedomPop offers both home and MiFi hotspot devices starting around $40.00 dollars.  National coverage is offered via FreedomPop's partnership with Sprint. If you need more bandwidth per month, they offer various options which range from earning extra bandwidth by way of signing up to partner promotions such as Netflix, to trading data via social networking.  You can also purchase more bandwidth by selecting any of their affordable monthly plans. They even offer rollover. I was able to ditch my monthly iPhone service plan once it was out of contract. I now pay nothing for mobile phone usage. I transferred my cell number to Google Voice, installed an app called Talkatone and wireless connect my

Cable to Convert VGA to HDMI, or Analog to Digital

The Answer : Even though they can be purchased online, the claim that an analog (VGA) to digital (HDMI or DVI) cable in and of itself performing such a conversion simply is not true. For example,  people run into this issue when they want to connect a laptop/desktop without an HDMI port to a digital monitor port with only a DVI port or a TV screen with an HDMI port. VGA to HDMI Cable I personally have had people not heed this advice, only to be seriously disappointed after having spent the money. There are instances where this cable will work... The VGA card in the device you are using (laptop/desktop) must be able to output a digital signal. This simply is not the case for most devices. When people are selling these cables from places like eBay, at times they may state this important piece of information in  very small print. So how do you get that device connected to your new digital TV or Monitor?  You have some options... 1). You can purchase a VGA
